Hangar 42

Blackpool Airport has had flying at its heart for over a century. During WW2 over 12,000 service men and women operated from RAF Squires Gate. The airport was the base of operational squadrons providing night fighter cover to the Fylde Coast and Merseyside which sadly saw 68 Airmen lose their lives flying from Blackpool. Squires Gate was also the location from which Amy Johnson took her last fateful flight.

Hangar 42 is now the home of the Lytham St Annes Spitfire Ground Display Team. Volunteers working in the Hangar, and visitors alike, have spoken of seeing figures where there shouldn't be figures, hearing whispers in empty rooms and being touched on their shoulders and backs... but no one is there!!! Will you be brave and join us as we investigate the ghosts of Hangar 42?
